The Trail Forge Mission Statement

The Trail Forge exists to restore our relationship with the Earth, one another, and ourselves through nature-based experiences, education, and collective stewardship. We cultivate spaces where people can slow down, reconnect with the land, and rediscover the wisdom that emerges through movement, community, and ancestral knowledge.

Through guided hikes, foraging, retreats, camping, yoga, meditation, forest bathing, storytelling, environmental restoration, and hands-on learning, we inspire a deeper understanding of the natural world and our responsibility to care for it. We believe that healing people and healing the land are inseparable, and that thriving communities are rooted in healthy relationships with nature.

Our work is grounded in collaboration. We partner with local farms, Indigenous communities, environmental organizations, artists, educators, healers, and other like-minded individuals and institutions who share our commitment to cultivating reciprocal relationships with the Earth. Together, we create opportunities to learn from one another, strengthen local ecosystems, preserve cultural knowledge, and build resilient communities connected by a shared purpose.

The Trail Forge is more than an outdoor organization—it is a growing community dedicated to honoring the land, protecting its future, and forging meaningful relationships that nourish both people and the planet for generations to come.
